Summary

Description Slam Door Stock at Barking. Services on the London Tilbury and Southend Railway from the 1960's to the early 1990's were handled mainly by class 302 Electric Multiple Units. I believe that 244 was unique in having this type of cab - picking up a spare car from another class of EMU following an accident. The others had flat fronts. Behind the unit can be seen a train of Hammersmith and City stock waiting in the bay platform.
