Description
Deutsch: Sonic Wind No 1. Mit diesem Rakettenschlitten führte in den 1950er Jahren John Paul Stapp Selbstversuche durch, bei denen er sich selbst großen Belastungen aussetzte, um mit den Ergebnissen zur Sicherheit von Passagieren in Flugzeugen sowie zur Weiterentwicklung von Sicherheitsgurten beizutragen. Ausstellungsort ist der John P. Stapp Air and Space Park im New Mexiko Museum of Space History in Alamogordo.
English: Sonic Wind No. 1, a rocket sled ridden by John Paul Stapp in the 1950s. Located in the John P. Stapp Air and Space Park at the New Mexico Museum of Space History, Alamogordo, New Mexico.
