Description

This timber-framed building in the old Yardley village is the Old Yardley Grammar School. It was also known as the Old Trust School.

It is on Church Road in Yardley. At 422 and 424 Church Road.

There is evidence of a school being Yardley as early as 1260. This building probably dates from the 15th century. It may have originally been a Guild Hall. W Sutherns was the last master. The school closed in 1908. It is now used as Parish rooms with a youth club upstairs, the Sarah Hassell Lounge downstairs. Is a part of the Yardley Parish Church.

It is a Grade II* listed building.

This is a photo of listed building number 1343388.

It is adjacent to St Edburgha's Church which dates to the 13th century.

It looks nice in the snow (and remote).
