Summary

Description	English: "Tralee, Ireland, nestled in the first green we see after soaring across the Atlantic." – Caption by astronaut Chris Hadfield on board the International Space Station. This is one of a set of eight pictures of Ireland taken from earth orbit that were posted on the internet by Hadfield to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day in 2013. Tralee, the largest town in County Kerry (population 23,700), on the west coast of Ireland is in the centre of the picture, with the Slieve Mish Mountains immediately south, extending westwards into the Dingle Peninsula. The low mountains to the northeast of Tralee are the Stack's Mountains.
