Summary

Description Watercolour of New Swindon by Edward Snell. Snell was head draughtsman at the GWR Swindon Works, later in 1846 assistant to Works Manager, Archibald Sturrock. This is a view to the east of New Swindon and shows the Railway Village's rows of cottages. The Works buildings are seen opposite the Village and at the top of the image the Station.
