The show deals with people who have bizarre addictions to food and/or eating disorders. Each episode, like the BBC series, is titled with the words "Addicted to" and then whatever the food is. The show's first episode aired on September 5, 2010. Psychotherapist Mike Dow and nutritionist J.J. Virgin host the show. Voiceover actor Josh Artis is the show's narrator. In the end of most episodes the people get help and most of the time stop their addictions.

A Russian woman needs to eat junkfood and drink 30 cans of Cola a day ever since she came to America. She refuses to say she has an addiction, and according to the epilogue, still drinks more than 24 cans of cola a day.
