The GoAdv Network[edit]

Excite Europe Excite was one of the most recognized internet brands during the 1990s and one of the most well known dotcoms during the era with a worldwide network of internet portals. In 2003 Excite Italia took control of the portals in the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, and Austria. Then in 2005 Excite Italia B.V. (the operator of Excite Europe), was acquired by Ask Jeeves (now Ask.com) from Tiscali, S.p.A. From March 2005 Excite Europe was owned by IAC Search & Media, following a merger with Barry Diller's InterActive Corporation. On October 17, 2007, the GoAdv Group announced the completion of its acquisition of Excite Europe.

Since the acquisition the Group's focus has been to transform the sites into entertainment portals with a unique editorial style and content produced by an in house editorial team rather than third party content partners, as it had been previously. In September 2008 the Excite Europe network registered 12.7 million unique users.

Excite Europe has also developed a personalised homepage, Excite MIX, and a social bookmarking service, Excite Bookmarks–both localised for use in respective European countries.

BetterDeals Online shopping guides and “How-to” websites which cover a wide range of topics including finance, travel and shopping. The network has on average 2 million unique monthly users. The BetterDeals network includes Meilleures Offres in France, Migliori Offerte in Italy, Mejores Ofertas in Spain and the Schnaeppchen network in Germany.

Nanopublishing A network of over 60 vertical magazines with a highly active community covering local events and specialist topics including fashion, travel and entertainment. Acquired in June 2009, articles are written by passionate, expert professionals who are local to their topic area and are regularly updated according to what web users are searching for. 1.4 million unique visitors (Jan 2010) and growing.

Blogosfere Italy’s top professional blog network, with over 3 million unique monthly users. Blogosfere’s network includes over 210 blogs written by recognised experts on topics ranging from entertainment, politics, sport, culture, news and finance.
