Gallery One Visual Arts Center

Gallery One Visual Arts Center is a nonprofit organization in Central Washington. The gallery is located in Ellensburg. Gallery One showcases local contemporary art and provides the local community with a variety of art classes and after school programs.

History[edit]

The gallery was opened in August 29, 1968. It was named the Ellensburg Community Art Gallery.

In 1994, the name of the gallery was changed to Gallery One Visual Art Center.

In 2001, the building went through a major remodelling that incorporated the whole building.

Exhibitions[edit]

With over 5000 square feet of exhibition space on three levels, Gallery One's exhibition program features monthly rotating shows that focus on contemporary and regional artists.

Education[edit]

The gallery features classes of fine art.
