Gammel Strand (Danish pronunciation: [ˈɡ̊ɑml̩ sd̥ʁɑnˀ], lit. Old Beach) is a rapid transit station on the City Circle Line of the Copenhagen Metro.
Location
Gammel Strand is located underneath the landmark of the same name in central Copenhagen, part of the Indre By district. Additionally, it will provide access to the central section of Strøget, Slotsholmen, Christiansborg Palace and Højbro Plads.
History
Construction on Rådhuspladsen station began in 2009, with an expected delivery date of late 2018 along with the rest of the City Circle Line.
