Giorgos Vaitsis (Greek: Γιώργος Βαΐτσης; born 1 August 1967), is a retired Greek footballer. A powerful striker, he is mainly remembered for his good headers and his shooting skills.

Vaitsis played for Anagennisi Artas, Panachaiki and Olympiacos.

Statistics[edit]

Giorgos Vaitsis had 139 First Division appearances for Panachaiki and scored 29 goals. He had 1 cap for the Greece national football team. His most prominent and celebrated goal was in the second round of the 1992-93 European Cup Winners Cup, when he scored the winning goal for Olympiacos Piraeus with a header, against Monaco, in France.
