Gorhar is a village in Barkatha CD block in Barhi subdivision of Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

As per the 2011 Census of India Gorhar had a total population of 6,734, of which 3,389 (50%) were males and 3,345 (50%) were females. Population below 6 years was 1,240. The total number of literates in Gorhar was 2,804 (55.04% of the population over 6 years).[2]
