Got What It Takes? is a British children's talent show presented by Lauren Platt. It began airing on CBBC on 6 January 2016. The first series was won by 12-year-old, Amaria Braithwaite, who was given the chance to perform at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.

Format

Eight amateur youth singers take part in the singing talent competition. Three contestants are chosen to compete in "the Sing-Off" whilst the mums vote for who they want to win. The show is based on a Romanian TV format, Mom Made Me a Star, created by Media Factory - Romania and distributed internationally by Small World IFT (www.smallworldift.com).

Series 2 (2017)

Production

On the CBBC "Join In" page with "Be on a Show", the CBBC asked for children to audition for the show under the working title Untitled CBBC singing talent show. The singing competition airs regularly on every Wednesday at 4:30PM. The show is presented by former 2014 The X Factor UK finalist Lauren Platt, with rumours that Platt could also be joined by Carrie Fletcher. The show also features David Tench as the choreographer. Celebrity guest appearances usually occur such as: Lucy Spraggan, etc.
