The Gyanam Academy - Junior College at Borgang,[1] Sonitpur district of Assam is an institution of the Gyanam Group of Institutions. It is situated 500 meters away from Borgang Center towards Niz-Borgang Railway Station. The institution was established in 2012 introducing a Humanities stream. Commerce and Science Streams are also on the verge of approval. The President of the Management Committee is Shri Rajanikant Sharma, the Secretary is Shri Dipu Sharma and the Treasurer is Shri Bhaskar Sharma.[2]

Arts (in Assamese and English medium), Political Science, Economics, Education, Logic & Philosophy, History, EVS, MIL (Assamese, Nepali, Alt.English) ents.

Personality development[edit]

Workshops on personality development, soft skill, English language proficiency, etiquette and moral development are conducted.

Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities[edit]

Besides organizing the College Week, Freshers Meet, Farewell and Saraswati Puja, the college inspires the students to take part in events like debate, quiz, essay, extempore speech, and games, organized in the college or elsewhere.

Seminars[edit]

Topics related to the course are discussed in seminars by qualified faculty and invited personalities.

Guest lecturers[edit]

The college invites guest lecturers from outside who may be a retired professor of a renowned institution or a literary figure or someone else of required quality.

College magazine[edit]

The college publishes its magazine annually under the name ‘Gyan-Suravi, Gyan- Deep,Gyan-Kunj…”.

The Sports Lounge[edit]

The lounge is equipped for badminton, volleyball, Carrom, chess and other indoor games.
