Haku is a fictional god in the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game. He is part of the Al-Qadim campaign setting that is set within the Forgotten Realms campaign setting.

Publication history[edit]

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition (1989-1999)[edit]

Haku was introduced in the Al-Qadim: Land of Fate set (1992).[1]

Haku is the god of freedom of Zakhara. He is one of the eight Great Gods of the Land of Fate and preaches the value of personal independence and self-reliance. Hakus's symbol is a stylized gust of wind.[1]:Adventurer's Guide to Zakhara, 48-49

In tales he has been described as a proud nomad garbed in flowing desert clothing, wearing a gleaming scimitar.[1]:Adventurer's Guide to Zakhara, 48 Like other Zakharan gods he is above such concerns as alignment, as a noble desert rider may value independence as highly as a dark-hearted assassin.[1]:Adventurer's Guide to Zakhara, 45

Free Haku has many worshipers among the Al-Badia, the desert nomads of Zakhara. In the Cities of the Pantheon, however, his faith is persecuted.[1]:Adventurer's Guide to Zakhara, 48
