Hayley Legg is an Australian singer.

Hayley lives in Sydney. She spent a majority of her youth learning Beatles songs on the piano and when High School hit she quickly turned to playing the guitar, claiming she needed an instrument she could carry. Aside from her vocal talent, Hayley is also competent at playing a variety of instruments including guitar, bass, drums, and piano. Hayley now also incorporates the Ukulele into her music after being inspired on a recent trip to Hawaii.[1] She has been a lifelong fan of the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Resurgence on the Web[edit]

Hayley initially began uploading her music videos to YouTube as a way of allowing one of her closest friends (who was living overseas at the time) to be able to watch her perform. What began as a convenient way to communicate with her friend's, quickly became an incredibly popular music channel on YouTube, and for Hayley, it developed into an obsession. With over 7 million views, Hayley Legg is currently the 11th most subscribed Australian musician of all time on YouTube.

The internet success reignited her passion and drive for music, so since then Hayley has been rapidly writing, recording and performing her original songs, as well as some much loved covers, around Sydney and on various internet sites. Falling in love with performing all over again, Hayley released her debut solo acoustic album 'About Time' in February 2009 and then went on to win the Songs Alive national Singer Songwriter competition in March 2009. She also has a self-titled live album which was recorded at The Basement in November 2009 & has plans to release her second acoustic album by late 2010. Hayley is currently an Independent Artist.

Artists like Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Missy Higgins, Sheryl Crow, The Beatles, Jack Johnson, Jewel and KT Tunstall heavily influence Hayley's musical style.
