- Letters g and k become palatalized (/gʲ/ and /kʲ/ respectively) before the vowels u and a.
- Letters b, v, g, d, z become devoiced when they're the final letters of words.
- t becomes silent if it appears right after another consonant.
- /ʒ/ (for "j"), /o/ (for "o") and /v/ (for "v") are only found in Russian loanwords.
