Over-linking in tables and lists[edit]

I understand why over-linking should be avoided, however, I also believe that exceptions should be made for tables and lists where multiple rows or items are similar although distinct. In such cases, some of these similar items may actually link to the same Wiki page, or maybe not. In these cases, I believe that it should be acceptable to link all significant table/list elements that have an associated Wiki page. I have seen situation where a in large table all of the primary elements (1st column) are linked with two or three not linked, or had the links removed, on the pretext that it was a case of over-linking. However, while it was true that these elements linked to the same Wiki page as some other elements in the table, this is not necessarily obvious to the user. The user then may well be left with the (false) impression that there is no associated Wiki page and may even try to create a new page when one already exists. This is a particular concern, especially for sortable tables, where the similar table entry may, or may not be apparent after sorting.

Also, the examples given of over-linking or excessive linking all relate to narrative text, not lists or tables.

For these reasons, I feel that structured lists and tables should be exempt from the over-linking policy. Enquire (talk) 20:17, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image Size[edit]

The numerous screenshot figures are too small to be of use. They are the same size as their in-article thumbnails, and thus illegible. Is the original image that small, or do we have a problem with how they are being rendered on the page?--174.25.59.214 (talk) 21:47, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
