Henry Canning

Henry Canning (born 8 July 1774 — died 3 February 1841, Hamburg, Germany) was appointed HM Consul General in Hamburg (including also consular responsibilities in respect of Bremen) on 29 November 1823.

He married Mary Preyer (or Prior); they had at least one child. Henry Canning was first cousin of George Canning (1770–1827) and the brother of diplomat Stratford Canning (1786–1880).
