The Hospital do Servidor Público Estadual (HSPE) ou Instituto de Assistência Médica ao Servidor Público Estadual (IAMSPE) is one of the most important hospitals to support public servers in the State of São Paulo, whose main complex is located in Vila Clementino, subcity of São Paulo, Brazil.
It was founded in 1952, with the creation of DAMSPE (Departamento de Assistência Médica ao Servidor Público in the State of São Paulo). By 1961, it was opened as HSPE - FMO. By 1966, it becomes IAMSPE.
Curiosity[edit]
According to Brazilian laws, only the public servers[clarification needed] of São Paulo State presenting holleriths[clarification needed] with the monthly contributions have rights of using the hospital complexes. They shall be identified properly by a document with photo and the server's holleriths showing the contribution when entering the hospital.
