The name Hanna or Hannah has been used for eleven tropical cyclones and one extratropical cyclone worldwide.

Atlantic storms[edit]

In the Atlantic, the name Hanna was added in 1997 as a replacement for Hortense. Hannah was used only once on the old four-year lists.

Pacific storms[edit]

After the 1999 season, the name Hanna was added to PAGASA's naming list after Harurot was retired, while Hannah was used for two storms in 1947 and 1997, respectively.

European storms[edit]

Other uses[edit]

  • The Disney preteen sensation of the second half of the 2000s, Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) has often been dubbed Hurricane Hannah, most prominently in an October 18, 2007 article in Time magazine.
  • Hannah Cockroft, British Paralympian known by the nickname "Hurricane Hannah".
  • Bob Hannah, one of the most successful American motocross racers, uses the nickname "Hurricane Hannah".
