Meramera (Melamela) is an Austronesian language of New Britain in Papua New Guinea.

Name[edit]

The name Meramera comes from the closely related Nakanai language in the Bileki dialect. In Meramera, the language is referred to as Melamela, literally meaning "talk".[2]
