I cannibali (internationally released as The Cannibals and The Year of the Cannibals) is an Italian drama film directed by Liliana Cavani.[1] It is inspired by the Antigone of Sophocles.[2][3] The film competed in the Quinzaines des Realisateurs section of the 23rd Cannes Film Festival.[4]

A restored version of the movie was released on DVD and Blu-ray by Kino Lorber in 2014.[5]
