Ibn Qulawayh (Template:Lang-fa) is a shia traditionalist and jurists. He counts as one of the Authoritative traditionalist among shia.
Life
His perfect name was IBN QŪLAWAYH (Qūlūya), ABU'L- QĀSEM JAʿFAR b. Moḥammad b. Jaʿfar b. Mūsāb. Qūlawayh Qomī Baḡdādī[1] There are not any details on his life but it is said that Abdullah Ashari was among his teacher . therefore it seems that he began his education on Qom. He also immigrate to other places for learning Hadith. He find out there masters. Also he went to Iraq and resided there since that he was ill. Also many of his teachers were in Iraq such as Ibn Edris Qomi, Ali Ibn Babewayh Qomi, Ibn Valid Qomi, Ibn Oqdah, Abu Omar Kashi, Abdul Aziz Ibn Yahya Jaloudi, Ibn Homam Iskafi and also his father namely Muhammad and his brother Ali.
Transmitters of Hadith
There are some bodies among transmitters of Hadith for Qulawayh like Ibn Abdoon, Ibn Ayyash Johari, Ibn Babawayh, Ibn Shazan Qomi, Ibn Nouh Sirafi, and Haroun Ibn Musa talakbari who are used by Qulawayh. About the reliability of Him, we could say that Shaykh Mofid mentioned him as the reliable transmitter. Also Najasi And Tousi known him as reliable transmitter.
Works
He has many books in the subject of Jurisprudence and Hadith. But his most known book is Kamil Al Ziyyarat (completes of prayings) which is published in Najaf by Abdul Hosein Amini. This book also considered as one of the most important sources of Imami in Praying.This book also shows the permanent interest intraditions in that Time.[2] Qulawayh narrated many traditions from Prophet (saw), Imam Kazim(as) and Imam Sadiq (as) and the chains of narrators.[3] Also the book considered as a transmitting book among narrators of traditions. - History of months and its events
- Praying
- Witness
- Qiyyam Al Layl va Navader
Death
There is not clear where his grave is located. Some believe in he is buried in Qom and others in Kazemayn.[4]
