International American University is an offshore private medical school located in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia in the Caribbean. The school's offshore office is located in Dallas, Texas.[1] Though the government of St. Lucia grants a trade license to offshore schools, and legislation had been proposed as of 2014, there is no governmental licensing or regulation of offshore medical schools in the country.[2][3]

The school is listed in both FAIMERs and the World Directory of Medical Schools. It has obtained approval from the Government of Canada and its application is pending before the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions. "Note: As of January 1, 2019, students and graduates of this medical school with a graduation year of 2018 and later are not eligible to apply to ECFMG for ECFMG Certification, which also renders them ineligible to apply to ECFMG for the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE) as a step toward ECFMG Certification."(see Sponsor Notes)[4]
