J. D. Neuhaus is a German air hoist, winches and crane manufacturer headquartered in Witten.[1] It is one of the oldest privately owned companies for more than 260 years in Germany.[2]

History

Johann Diederich Neuhaus established the company in 1745. Hoist using compressed-air driven vane motor was introduced in 1952. In 2008 the company employed 170 people with a turnover of €36 million.[3]
