The Ambassador of Japan to the United States (駐アメリカ日本大使 or 駐米日本大使) has existed since the 1860, interrupted by disagreements and wars during the World War II.

Ken'ichirō Sasae is the current Japanese ambassador to the United States, having presented his credentials on November 19, 2012.[1]
