Jerrold Bates Tunnell (born c. 1950s) is a professor of mathematics at Rutgers University, specializing in number theory. He is perhaps best known for the Langlands–Tunnell theorem, which establishes a certain special case of the Artin conjecture and was a key component in the proof of Fermat's last theorem. He also proved a theorem concerning congruent numbers.

He is a fellow of the American Mathematical Society.[1]
