Jesse Van Doren (born October 14, 1996) is a Dutch entrepreneur, speaker and social media expert. He is the founder and CEO of Brize and a Board member at Green Cross Netherlands[5] and Emerce Next.[6] In 2014, Van Doren was nominated as one of the 25 most promising entrepreneurs under the age of 25 in the Netherlands by Sprout.[7] In 2016 the European Union flew Van Doren to Ireland to inspire and help local entrepreneurs.[8][9][10][11]

Early life and education[edit]

Van Doren was born in Geervliet, the Netherlands, raised by Hilde van Doren and Henk van Doren. He followed primary school on "OBS Markenburg" a school in Geervliet, the Netherlands. His school let him skip group 5, because of top grades.[12][13][14][15][16][17][18]

Career[edit]

In 2008, Van Doren started JVDMedia, a data-driven marketing agency. The company developed a marketing strategy for social media network Hyves, in order to reach more teenagers.[19] In 2014 the company had changed name to Brize.[20] During those years Brize made commercial campaigns for Sony and Achmea. In 2014, van Doren organised the World Hackathon Day,[21] an event to combat propaganda material for Amnesty International.[22] More than 500 people participated in this event and he won 3 awards with the event and more than 150 media covered the event.[23][24][25]

December 2012 to May 2015, Van Doren was community manager at *Bliep telecom. He created, developed and established community based programs involving media, offline marketing, social media and relationship building with key influential partnerships as StukTV on YouTube.[26][27] In 2012 *bliep became startup of the year in the Dutch Startup Awards.[28][29][30][31][32]

August 2014 to January 2015 - Van Doren took a position as Business Developer at Armada Music. In this role, he was responsible for setting up a global fan community around the brand of Armin van Buuren. In January 2018, Van Doren entered Green Cross International as a board member.[33] Since 2016, Jesse is giving a masterclass about “Client-centered innovation” at Nyenrode Business University. On December 31, 2018, he shot the first fire arrow of the world in the air via voice command.[34][21][7][35][36]
