Playing career[edit]

Haddad spent his junior hockey career in the QMJHL. He played two seasons for the P.E.I. Rocket and two seasons for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in his hometown of Sydney, Nova Scotia. He led the Eagles in goals (7) in the 2008 QMJHL playoffs.[1]

Haddad went undrafted in 2008 and signed a three-year entry-level free agent deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins.[2] From 2009 to 2011, he went back and forth playing for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, both Penguins' affiliates.

In September 2011, Haddad signed with the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators, an affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes.[3] In addition to his time with the Gladiators, he played 19 games in AHL: 8 for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and 11 for the Hamilton Bulldogs[4] He led the Gladiators in points per game (0.81) in the 2011-2012 regular season.[5] Haddad was named captain of the Gladiators for the 2013–14 season.[6]

On June 26, 2014, Haddad left the Gladiators after three seasons and signed abroad to a one-year contract with Welsh club, Cardiff Devils of the EIHL.[7]
