Kashmir Human Rights Commission

The Jammu and Kashmir Human Rights Commission is an organisation working under National Human Rights Commission of India[1] for the protection of human rights in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It extends its activities to the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir.

In a significant development the state cabinet which met today under the chairmanship of Mufti Muhammad Sayeed has appointed former city Senior Superintendent of Police Ashiq Hussain Bukhari as the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission (SHRC).
