Kfar Ruth (Template:Lang-he-n, lit. Ruth's Village) is a moshav in Israel, located just west of the Green Line near Modi'in. It falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Modi'in Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 230.[citation needed]

The moshav was established in 1977. It is named after the ancient village of Kfar Ruta that appears on the Madaba Map in the area of the new settlement.[citation needed]

Economy

According to archeologists, grapes were grown in the region by the inhabitants of Modi'in. Tal Maor, a resident of Kfar Ruth, has revived the age-old tradition of winemaking through the establishment of a family winery, Ruth Vineyard.[1]
