Kforce Inc. is a professional staffing services firm headquartered in Tampa, Florida. It was incorporated in May 1962 and has been listed on NASDAQ since 1995. Kforce employs over 2,000 people at more than 60 offices in the United States and the Philippines.[1] Kforce provides staffing for the technology, finance, and government sectors.[2][3][4][5][6]


Founded as Romac & Associates, Kforce merged with Source Services Corporation. The name "Kforce" originated in 1999 as an abbreviation of KnowledgeForce.[7][8]




Kforce Technology provides temporary and permanent placement in the areas of programmers and developers, systems analysts, enterprise data managers, and networking technicians.[10]

Finance and Accounting[edit]

Kforce Finance and Accounting provides temporary and permanent placement in the areas of accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, audit services, taxation, credit and collections, budget preparation and analysis, cost analysis, systems and controls analysis, and professional administrative positions.[11]

Government Solutions[edit]

Kforce Government Solutions (KGS) provides solutions to the Federal Government of the United States in the areas of finance and accounting and technology. KGS has corporate offices in the Washington, DC, San Antonio, TX, and Tampa, FL areas.[12]


Kforce's two National Recruiting Centers (NRCs) are ISO 9001:2008 certified and have over 150 recruiters centralized in Tampa, FL and Phoenix, AZ.[13]
