Khomotso Phahlane

Khomotso Johaaness Phahlane is the Acting National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS) since October 2015.He was appointed after the suspension of Riah Phiyega.

He was previously head of the SAPS Forensic Service from 2012-October 2015.[1] After assuming the role of acting National commissioner Lt General Phahlane adopted the back to basics approach to instill trust back from the community the SAPS serve.
