Kovilam Padu is a village in Chandrasekharapuram (C.S.Puram) Mandal of Prakasam district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[1]

Education Kovilam Padu has one high school and elementary school which is a TELUGU medium school located in the main center of the village. And one elementary school which is a URDU medium school located in the colony(where mosque is located).

Both the schools are organized by state government.

Geography

There are few historical places:

  • Famous Narayana Swamy Temple is Located Here.
  • Famous Bairavakona Punyakshetram at ambavaram Kottapalli 18 km distance from Kovilam Padu.

Politics

Gram Panchayat

  • Smt. Syed Bibi Doulath is elected as a President for the panchayat on 27 July 2013. She set the record by electing as a first Muslim Minority (even Female) panchayat president of the village.

Assembly Constituency

  • Sri. Kadiri Baburao is elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Andhra Pradesh on 16 May 2014. He is the first MLA who belongs to the same panchayat.
