Ten new Housemates entered the Big Brother House during Launch Night on the 2012 series of Big Brother Australia.[1] Four males entered the house the next day, totalling 14 Housemates. After four weeks and three evictions had passed, two intruders were introduced to the house at different intervals, raising the total to 16 housemates.

Angie[edit]

Angela Beatrix Murray (born 18 January 1991) is a 21-year-old sales representative from the Gold Coast. Angie shares a loft with three men, and is often referred to as "Mangie" for her tomboy-ish-behavior. She was the third Housemate to enter on Launch Night. She was nominated on Day 29 along with Estelle and Ray and survived the Day 35 eviction with 45% of the vote to save. On Day 39 Angie and Sam hook up with Sam leaving a hickey on her neck causing a huge fight between her and Layla. Angie was nominated again on Day 43 and survived the eviction with 48% of the vote. She was nominated again the following week. She escaped eviction again with 19% of the vote while Bradley was evicted. Angie was nominated again the following week however due to Josh's departure she was guaranteed another week in the house. She became the ninth housemate to evicted on Day 70 after receiving 10.6% of the vote, with only a very small margin of 0.8% to save between her and Sam. Angie admitted to secretly dating Michael throughout the show.

Secret: Angie was a champion weightlifter.

Ava[edit]

Ava David An intruder who arrived on day 29. She became very attached to Josh and Estelle during her time in the house, and was regarded by other housemates as a kind but private person, who they occasionally referred to as "Princess Ava" or the 'Clip-on-Koala (from Ukraine)'. Ava was nominated on Day 43 and faced eviction with Angie and Estelle. She became the sixth housemate to be evicted on Day 51 with only 14% of the vote to save.

Secret: As an intruder, Ava entered the house after the cessation of the Secrets task and was exempt from needing to reveal a secret.

Benjamin[edit]

Benjamin Norris (born 17 February 1980) is a 32-year-old accounts manager from Melbourne and was the fourteenth housemate to enter the house in the early hours of Day 3. Benjamin was nominated for eviction along with Bradley and Ryan on Day 15. He narrowly survived the eviction on Day 21 with 33% of the vote to save. only 1% separated him from Ryan who was the evictee. Ben was not up for nomination until Day 63 where he faced eviction with 5 other housemates. He survived the eviction with 20.8% while Angie was evicted. Ben was nominated in the following week along with Stacy and Estelle, he escaped eviction again with 30% of the vote while his close ally Stacy was evicted. Ben along with the 5 other remaining housemates were told that every vote Australia cast would be a vote to win. On Day 84 Ben survived the eviction with 20% of the vote to win. The next day he survived the double eviction determining the final three housemates for Big Brother 2012. Ben was crowned the winner of the series on Day 87 with a prize of A$250,000 and a Holden Cruze with 40% of the vote to win.[2] He is openly gay, and stated that he has a boyfriend after entering the house. An article in NW magazine in September 2012 drew a comparison between Ben and Johnnie Rotten from the first Australian season for his habit of offering consolation and advice to housemates after nominating and complaining about them to others.

Secret: Benjamin was fired from every job he has ever had.

Benjamin is now employed by Southern Cross Austereo, working in breakfast radio in Queensland. He is based in Gladstone, co-hosting Hot FM CQ's "EJ & Ben" breakfast show with EJ Palmer, which is broadcast to the Gladstone, Rockhampton and Emerald regions of Central Queensland.

Coincidently, another former Big Brother housemate was previously employed at the same radio station in the same role as Ben. Bec Dent (2007 series) was a breakfast announcer at Hot FM CQ from November 2007 to February 2009, when she co-hosted the breakfast program with Marty Braley.

Bradley[edit]

Bradley Darke (born 17 August 1993[3]) is a 19-year-old from Coraki, New South Wales. He works in his parents's supermarket (with his room adjacent to the store), and admits to collecting foreskins and never having a girlfriend. He has a stutter. He was one of three men to enter the House on Launch Night, and the tenth Housemate to enter in total. On Day 15 Bradley was nominated for eviction along with Benjamin and Ryan. He survived the eviction on Day 21 with 35% of the public vote. Bradley was nominated again the following week however he escaped eviction again with 32% of the vote. Bradley was nominated on Day 36 along with Estelle and George and only barely survived the eviction on Day 42 with 31% of the vote with only 1% separating him from George. Bradley became the seventh housemate to evicted on Day 56 with just only 14% of the vote to save him while Angie, Michael and Sam survived.

Secret: Bradley suffers from Ornithophobia as the result of an emu attack.

Charne[edit]

Charne Louise White works on stage at Dracula's Cabaret Restaurant dinner theater. She is from the Gold Coast. Charne goes by the nicknames "Char" and "VaVa", and was once the winner of Ms. Pin-Up Australia. She was the seventh Housemate to enter on Launch Night. She was nominated for eviction on Day 8, sure received 22 nomination points the most nomination points from her fellow Housemates.
Charne was the first evitctee of the season, leaving on Day 14 with 24% of the vote.

Secret: Charne suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Estelle[edit]

Estelle Landy (born 31 August 1988[5]) is a 24-year-old law student from Victoria. She enjoys skateboarding, and dislikes anyone who is cruel to animals, racist, sexist or homophobic. Estelle is an accomplished Equestrian rider having competed Internationally in Europe for two years on Scholarship.bShe speaks Dutch and some French. Most remembered for being the only housemate who "never bitched". Estelle revealed on Big Brother Confidential that she was raised by a single mother. She was the eighth Housemate to enter on Launch Night. She was nominated for eviction on day 14 and survived with 27% of the public vote. She was up for eviction again against Angie and Ray and survived again with 29% of the public vote on day 36. She was again the following week and escaped eviction again with 39% of the vote. She also survived the next eviction receiving 38% of the vote while her best friend Ava was evicted. She was nominated again against five other people and scored 20.1% while Angie was evicted on Day 70. She was nominated again the following day along with Benjamin and Stacey. She survived again on Day 77 after scoring 46% of the vote, Sonia mentioned that she had received the most votes in the whole season so far. Estelle along with the 5 other remaining housemates were told that every vote Australia cast would be a vote to win. On Day 84 Estelle survived the eviction with 24% of the vote to win. She survived the double eviction the next day which determined the final three housemates for Big Brother 2012. Estelle was the second runner up of Big Brother 2012 after scoring 29% of the vote to win and was given $5000 from one of the show's sponsors, KFC. She has so far faced eviction the second most number of times, at eight (in Weeks 2, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 13 respectively).

Estelle was the most saved housemate in the history of BBAU until she was matched by Tahan who has survived nine evictions(BBAU13)

Secret: Estelle is a high-school drop-out.

George[edit]

George Baramily (born 19 April 1987) is a 25-year-old mining electrician from Western Australia. He was the eleventh Housemate to enter, going into the house on Day 2. He was nominated on Day 37 along with Bradley and Estelle and faced eviction. George was the fifth to be evicted after receiving 30% of the vote on day 42, only 1% separated him from Bradley.

Secret: George is a Multimillionaire

Josh[edit]

Josh Moore is a 28-year-old musician from South Australia. Josh works on Nova FM, and hates people who "don't help out in the kitchen". He was the sixth Housemate to enter on Launch Night. Josh left the house on Day 60 after receiving news from his parents that his 32-year-old brother Toby died of a suspected heart attack on the night of Day 59.[6]

Secret: Josh has dated over 100 women.

Layla[edit]

Layla Joyce Subritzky (born 27 March 1988) is a 24-year-old from Brisbane, but originally comes from Hambleton near Blackpool, England. Her father is Maori. She said in her introduction video that she gets her nails done daily. She was the fifth Housemate to enter on Launch Night. On Day 8, she was nominated for eviction alongside Charne and Estelle, she received 49% of the vote. Layla was nominated along with Angie, Benjamin, Estelle, Sam and Zoe on Day 64 and faced eviction. Layla survived the eviction on Day 70 while Angie was evicted. She earned 21.6% of the vote, more than any other nominated housemate. Layla along with the 5 other remaining housemates were told that every vote Australia cast would be a vote to win. On Day 84 Layla survived the eviction with 18% of the vote to win. The next day he survived the double eviction determining the final three housemates for Big Brother 2012. Layla was the runner up of Big Brother 2012 after receiving 31% of the vote and was given $10 000 by one of the show's sponsors, KFC. She turns into 'Shaniqua' when she gets angry.
Most of her friends are WAGs and Layla wished to also be one.

More recently, she has been cast in Season 3 of Celebrity Apprentice Australia

Michael[edit]

Michael Beveridge is a 26-year-old advertising copywriter from Brisbane but has the rest of his family in Wollongong, New South Wales. He was the first Housemate to enter on Launch Night. Michael was nominated along with Angie, Bradley and Sam and faced eviction. He survived the eviction on Day 56 after scoring a whopping 46% of the vote to save while Bradley was evicted. Michael along with the 5 other remaining housemates were told that every vote Australia cast would be a vote to win. On Day 84 Michael survived the eviction with 16% of the vote to win. He became the thirteenth housemate to be evicted after leaving in a double eviction along with Zoe which determined the final three housemates for Big Brother 2012. He again received 16% of the vote win placing 4th overall.

Michael has recently signed to the Southern Cross Austereo network and is a co-host on SAFM's 'Michael, Hayley and Burgo Show.

Michael also co-hosted Saturday Night Showdowns in Big Brother 2013 along with Mike Goldman and Shelley Craft.

As of 2015, Michael is currently host of Weekend Breakfast, YouTube Hits and The Drop on Today's Hit Network.

Secret: Michael has an IQ of a genius (specifically 159).

Ray[edit]

Ray Baxter is a 25-year-old veterinarian from Brisbane. He was the thirteenth housemate to enter, going into the house around 10:45 pm on Day 2.[7] Upon entering the house, Ray was immediately punished for repeatedly calling Big Brother 'mate'. As such, he was forced to don a schoolboy outfit and write "I must not call Big Brother naughty names" fifty times upon a chalkboard provided in the naughty corner. Ray was nominated on Day 22. He survived eviction on Day 28 after receiving 50% of the vote. The next day, he was nominated again along with Angie and Estelle. He became the fourth housemate to evicted on Day 35 after scoring 26% of the vote despite receiving the most votes the previous week. Ray re entered the house on day 73 as part of the Unwanted Guests task. The task was for the current housemates to ignore any unwanted guests. He then exited again later that night.

The housemates nicknamed him 'Tom Cruise'.

Secret: Ray was a juvenile offender.

Ryan[edit]

Ryan Buckingham (born 24 August 1990[8]) is a 22-year-old male model from Victoria. He was the twelfth Housemate to enter, going into the house on Day 2. Ray was nominated along with Bradley and Benjamin on Day 15 for eviction. He became the second housemate to be evicted after scoring 32% of the vote to save. His eviction was closest one in that season with Benjamin and Bradley receiving 33% and 35% respectively.

Secret: Ryan has not had a girlfriend since he was 11.

Sam[edit]

Samuel Wallace is a 21 year old who lives in Queensland on the Gold Coast, though grew up in Tamworth, NSW. Sam was the second intruder for the 2012 series, entering the house on 18 September. He was nominated on Day 50 along with Angie, Bradley and Michael. He surprisingly survived the eviction after earning 21% of the vote which was second highest out of the four nominees while Bradley was evicted. He was nominated again on Day 64 with five other housemates. He survived again after receiving 11.4% of the vote while Angie was evicted. Sam along with the 5 other remaining housemates were told that every vote Australia cast would be a vote to win. Sam became the eleventh housemate to be evicted on Day 84 after earning only 7% of the vote to win. He placed 6th overall.

Secret: As an intruder, Sam entered the house after the cessation of the Secrets task and was exempt from needing to reveal a secret.

Sarah[edit]

Sarah Wentworth-Perry (born 7 December 1981) is a 30-year-old salesperson in car dealership from Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. She is the only Housemate that entered on Launch Night to state that she has a significant other outside of the Big Brother House. She was the second person to enter on Launch Night. A photo leaked online has revealed that Sarah's secret is that she was a nude protester. A vegetarian, Sarah was protesting against the use of fur for fashion. On Day 28, Sarah was the third evictee after receiving just 18% of the vote.

Secret: Sarah was a nude protester.

Stacey[edit]

Stacey Wren is a 24-year-old accounts manager in advertising from Sydney. She was the ninth Housemate to enter on Launch Night. Stacey was the only housemate who had not been nominated until the last nomination of the season. She became the tenth housemate to be evicted after scoring 24% of the vote. Sonia revealed that she would have been safe in any other eviction due to the enormous amount of votes in that eviction. During Big Brother Confidential aired on 25 October, Stacey revealed she is a direct descendant of Abraham Lincoln, but she is not listed among the descendants in the Lincoln family tree. Stacey briefly appeared in an episode of Celebrity Apprentice Australia promoting a product for fellow housemate Layla who was part of the cast for Season 3. She went on to pave out a professional radio career with Gippsland radio station Star FM.

Zoe[edit]

Zoe Nicole Westgarth (born 21 May 1989[9]) is a 23-year-old university student from New South Wales. She was the fourth person to enter the house. Zoe admits to never having a boyfriend and holds quite political views. Zoe was nominated along with Angie, Benjamin, Estelle, Layla and Sam on Day 64 and faced eviction. She survived with 15.5% of the vote. Zoe along with the 5 other remaining housemates were told that every vote Australia cast would be a vote to win. On Day 84 Zoe survived the eviction with 15% of the vote to win. She became the twelfth housemate to be evicted after leaving in a double eviction along with Michael which determined the final three housemates for Big Brother 2012. She received 14% of the vote win placing 5th overall.

Secret: Zoe used to be an "Emo".
