Lisa Torres portrayed by Michelle Lukes. She appeared on 28 January 2009 and made her last appearance on 28 March 2011. Lisa returned in November 2018 with the role having been recast to Leila Birch.

Lisa is the mother of Isobel Torres and the on/off girlfriend of Dr. Daniel Granger. In Lisa's first episode she returns from her native Argentina to reclaim her daughter. Having previously abandoned Isobel, Lisa turns up on Daniel's doorstep and informs him that she has had a change of heart. Daniel is devastated and although he tries to fight her on this, Lisa is ultimately in control. Lisa and Daniel eventually agree to share custody of their daughter but the arrangement comes to an end when Daniel's ex-girlfriend, Ruth Pearce tells Lisa about Daniel's sobering past. Over the course of the next few years, Lisa and Daniel's rocky relationship continues to play out. They reconcile after the kidnapping of Isobel but separate once again following Daniel's affair with Dr. Zara Carmichael.

DCI Lynette Driver is portrayed by Elizabeth Rider and first appeared on 4 August 2009. She is the boss of Rob Hollins. She was involved in the Lauren Porter murder case, of which she was in charge. Driver returned for one episode on 10 January 2012.[1] Driver returned on 1 November 2012.[2] Since Early 2013 she has been a semi-regular character and often appeared alongside Rob in the police station and working on police cases.

Scott Nielson was portrayed by Sam Heughan from 30 September to 24 November 2009. He was the boyfriend of nurse Cherry Malone, unaware to Cherry was that he was a drug dealer. He died while sleeping with Cherry.

PC Brian Miles first appeared on 9 October 2009, and has made frequent appearances since. Brian is close friend of Rob Hollins and he is close with all members of the Hollins' family. He returned on 18 September 2012[3] made a further appearance on 26 September 2012,[4] and 17 October 2012.[5]
