This is an old revision of this page, as edited by 71.76.200.138 (talk) at 01:55, 4 May 2016 (The previous figure was for the Belgrade district, *not* the city limits.). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Europe

This is a list of the largest cities in Europe by population within city limits. It deals exclusively with the areas within city administrative boundaries (municipalities) as opposed to urban areas or metropolitan areas, which are generally larger in terms of population than the main city.

The list includes cities geographically situated in Europe, using the conventional definition of its boundaries.

Largest cities

Note: The cities are sorted by the column labelled Population within city limits. Cities in bold are capital cities of their respective countries.
