The Gold Star medal worn by Heroes of the Soviet Union

The title Hero of the Soviet Union was the highest distinction of the Soviet Union.[1] Due to the large size of the list, it has been broken up into multiple pages. This list is broken up into alphabetical sections for Soviet military personnel, Soviet partisans, Soviet cosmonauts, Foreign cosmonauts, Soviet civilians, and Foreign civilians.

Recipients

This color, along with the * (asterisk), indicates that the title was awarded posthumously.
