The following is a list of ice hockey players who have recorded 1,000 assists in the National Hockey League (NHL).[1]

As of completion of the 2021–22 season, 13 players have recorded 1,000 assists while playing in the NHL.
Jagr is also the only non-Canadian player with 1,000 career assists.

- ^ As of the 2022–23 season, Joe Thornton is an unsigned free agent still looking to play with an NHL team. He last played in the NHL in 2021–22.
- ^ Gordie Howe initially retired from hockey at the end of the 1970–71 season and was inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972. He returned to playing professional hockey, in the World Hockey Association, in 1973–74, where he played until returning to the NHL for the 1979–80 season.
- ^ Mario Lemieux initially retired from hockey at the end of the 1996–97 season and was inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997. He returned as an NHL owner in 1999, then returned to playing in the NHL in the 2000–01 season.
