This is a list of provinces of the Philippines, including Metro Manila, in order of their Human Development Index (HDI).

Methodology[edit]

The HDI values are provided by the Human Development Network (HDN) of the Philippines[1] and are correct as of 2008/2009.

Highs and lows[edit]

All provinces surrounding Metro Manila have a high HDI value. Metro Manila, Benguet, Batanes and Ilocos Norte already have very high HDI values (>0.800). Tawi-Tawi has recently progressed from a low HDI value (<0.500).[1]
