The following is a list of National Football League teams with the most consecutive active seasons appearing in the playoffs. Thus the teams eligible are the teams that have qualified for the 2016 NFL Playoffs by either winning one of the eight divisions or by winning a wildcard spot at the conclusion of the 16 game regular season.

Note: Super Bowl appearances during streak in parentheses; victories in bold.

Current playoff appearance streaks[edit]

All streaks can be verified on the team encyclopedias at Pro football reference.com[1]

In the tables below:

  • Bold italics including longest streak indicates that the streak is also the team's longest-ever streak for that many consecutive playoff seasons.
  • A blue border indicates that a streak has been accomplished for the (2016) NFL season.
  • The words streak over week X indicate that it became impossible for the team to continue that streak.

Updated through the 2016 season.
