  4. ^ A Broadway revival of "Chicago" premiered in 1997 and is currently still running. It is the longest-running revival and longest-running American show on Broadway.

  6. ^ The original West End production of "Billy Elliot The Musical" ran for 4,566 performances from 2005 to 2016.
  7. ^ "Cabaret" was revived on Broadway in 1998, in a production that run until 2004 and played 2,377 performances.
  8. ^ The original West End production of "Sunset Boulevard" ran from 1993 to 1997 and played 1,530 performances.
  9. ^ After the original Broadway production of "Avenue Q" closed in 2009 it transferred Off-Broadway, where it ran until 2019.
