This list is limited to individuals with a net worth exceeding $40 billion US dollars.[1] The richest man in the world is Amazon owner Jeff Bezos with a net worth of $152 Billion.[2] The richest woman in the world is L'Oréal heiress Françoise Bettencourt Meyers with a net worth of $44.9 billion.[3]
