List of tallest buildings in the United Arab Emirates
This article needs to be updated.(November 2018) |
This list of tallest buildings in the United Arab Emirates ranks skyscrapers in the UAE based on official height. The tallest building in United Arab Emirates is Burj Khalifa, which rises 828 metres (2,717 ft) and contains 163 floors.[1] The tower has stood as both the tallest building in the world and the tallest man-made structure of any kind in the world since its completion in January 2010. The second-tallest building in United Arab Emirates is the 414-metre (1,358 ft) Princess Tower, which also stands as the world's second tallest residential skyscraper after the 432 Park Avenue in New York City, NY. [2] The skyscrapers of United Arab Emirates are mostly located in Dubai, and Abu Dhabi.
However Dubai has more highrises than Abu Dhabi. Dubai has 18 completed and topped-out buildings that rise at least 300 metres (984 ft) in height, which is more than any other city in the world.[3] While Dubai has 73 completed and topped-out buildings that rise at least 200 metres (656 ft) in height, again which is more than any other city in the world. Based on the average height of the ten tallest completed buildings, Dubai has the tallest skyline in the Middle East and the world.[4] As of 2015[update], the skyline of Dubai is ranked sixth in the world with 248 buildings rising at least 100 metres (330 ft) in height.[5]
