"Love Song"
Song

"Love Song" is a power ballad written by Frank Hannon and Jeff Keith both of and for the rock band Tesla, from the album The Great Radio Controversy, released in 1989. The song reached number ten on the U.S. charts, becoming the group's biggest hit at the time. It also became a gold record.

Music video

On July 7, 1989 the music video was filmed during a concert in the band's home town of Sacramento at the former Cal Expo amphitheater. The band and Old 93 Rock (a Sacramento radio station at the time) knowing that the music video was to be filmed at the concert held a contest where the fan who created the best banner that displayed 93 Rock, Tesla and 'Love Song' on it would win back stage passes for the show that night. Banners can be seen being held up in the audience and background throughout the video.
