Madhuca crassipes is a plant in the Sapotaceae family. It grows as a tree up to 40 metres (130 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 70 centimetres (28 in). The bark is brown, mottled grey. Inflorescences bear up to 10 flowers which are fragrant and cream-coloured. The specific epithet crassipes is from the Latin meaning "thick foot or stalk", referring to the fruit stalk. Its habitat is swamps and forests from sea-level to 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) altitude. M. crassipes is found in Sumatra and Borneo.[2]
