Majidabad (Persian: مجيداباد), also Romanized as Majīdābād,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Dikleh Rural District[4] of the Central District of Hurand County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 436 in 100 households, when it was in Hurand District of Ahar County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 516 people in 126 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 341 people in 97 households.[2]

After the 2016 census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Hurand County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Hurand as its capital and only city.[7]
