Makombo is a village in the territory of Niangara in the Haut-Uele District of Democratic Republic of the Congo. The village of Makombo has got some notable international media coverage [1] because between 14 and 17 December 2009 there took place the so-called Makombo massacre, which was relieved by the Human Rights Watch Report [2] end of March 2010.
