The Manu'a District of American Samoa is shown in yellow.

The Manu'a District is one of the three primary administrative divisions of American Samoa. The district comprises the Manu'a Islands, which are located approximately 61 miles east of the main island, Tutuila. The Manu'a District is considered to be a county-equivalent by the U.S. Census Bureau.[1]

In 2010, the Manu'a District had a per capita income of $5,441[2] — this makes the Manu'a District the county / county-equivalent with the lowest-per capita income in the entire United States (no populated county in the entire U.S. has a lower per capita income).
