Martin's Mice is a children's book about a cat who befriends mice. It was written by Dick King Smith.[1] The first edition was published in 1989 by Crown Publishers

Plot[edit]

Martin is a farm kitten who likes to keep mice as pets. He learns throughout the story about freedom and responsibility, learning to befriend rather than keep the mice after experiencing for himself what it is like to be kept as a pet. Martin thought that the mouse's name was Pregnant, after she told him she was pregnant.
